I’ve been blessed to live in a good state for big bucks and have a few farmers who give me permission for helping them out every once in awhile. I’ve been super patient allowing genetics to play their role, passing lots of young deer over the last few years. It doesn’t always work out as you lose permission from land exchanging hands, family wanting to hunt, or folks leasing it up. I’m finally reaping the rewards, though

At the end of the day I just want to fill the freezer with 3-4 deer. I’m just picky about my antlered ones 🙂
I was once asked how it was that I shot so many large deer. I told the lad, just don't shoot small ones.
