Well, it seems it took me FOREVER (lots of stops and starts) to finish this Colonial, but it's finally done. Many thanks to labrat for the excellent engraving, and to dave_person and rich pierce for their patience with questions from a rank amateur. Lots of little mistakes but I'm happy it's done. My wife thinks it's a design element for her library. I told her it's a hunting tool, and am looking forward to finally getting it into the woods.

grab that as a reason to build another! run with it! excellent work. don't stop now. those lessons you learned should be used and not lost.

And PATIENCE has prevailed!! Time to build another. :) (or two) :D

You can really see the attention to detail that only comes from spending a lot of time doing a project like this. The more of these I see, the more I'm thinking I'd like to build a rifle.
