Is Bobby still doing barrel bores and if not, who is. I am having a .50 cal taken out to .58 smoothbore.
A friend of mine who was a machinist for years but who is now in the early stages of Alzheimer's started
it but can no longer do the things he used to do. He got about 20" of the barrel done but broke the bit
off. I pulled the breech plug and managed to knock the bit out but now i need someone to finish drilling
it out and none of the machine shops around here can do it. Any suggestions? Thanks

He did a rebore for me a few weeks ago. Told me it was going to take 6 months, and I had it back in a week. Not a bad job either.
Could you tell me how much it was? I contacted Oregon Barrel/The Gun Works, here in Eugene, Or. and was told at least $250.

36 inch barrel, went from 58 cal to 62. Charged $125 plus shipping. It's more for longer barrels or other work, I had de-breeched it and didn't need anything but the new bore.
