I did this same topic for a lesson I created and taught to my students back in the mid 80’s. Used author Dan Kilgore’s published material as a resource for the debate. I just checked and his book on Crockett at the Alamo is for sale on Amazon. Check it out if you haven’t already. He provides well documented sources.

I thought this was settled long ago. Much like the Elvis thing or any number of "living" dead persons.
On the Billy the Kid their is a ton of evidence coming out now about him surviving the night Garret supposedly shot him. Mr.Morrison who interviewed Brushy Bill went into great depths to prove he was the kid. People need to remember that according to Morrison's interview. He went looking for Brushy because of information he received from a client in Florida ( ? ) that the kid was alive and living in Texas.
So Morrison went to Brushy. Brushy at first wanted nothing to do with him. Brushy didn't look for anything
of fame he just wanted to get the pardon he was promised. Which the government turned into a circus. Imagine that...
Dan Edwards on U Tube has an informative site on all this. Very interesting and you can form your own opinion. Brushy body was never exhumed to my knowledge.

If Davy was as personable and public-relations-oriented as we see in films, (he was a Congressman, after all!), we surely would have "heard" from him post-Alamo!
it was settled according to some friends of the kids that was still alive when brush was alive, they said that he was the kid! brushy knew things that only the kid knew according to his friends, he spoke perfect Spanish and even had the same scars the kid had. also face recognition said it was a high probably he was the kid.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I am confused....If Brushy knew things that only the "Kid" knew, how did his supposed friends know the same thing?
Kinda of a modern time frame for a traditional ML forum is it not?
