My understanding is that they do not permit payments for ML or any other such things. As such if anything goes wrong you have no recourse. As they are all powerful I also believe they can confiscate funds if the true nature of the transaction became known. For me I ain't ever doing it. I use USPS money orders with no problem.

pay pal is anti 2a and will not honor any claims for loss, if you use friends and family there is also no recourse. all will be lost. do not support the antis.
Funny, though, how the anti-gun tech billionaires, like Bezos, Zuckerberg, etc., all were hanging out at the Inaugural with Pro-Gun, Pro 2nd Amend. President Donald J. Trump!

1. PayPal is fine if you do not declare what the item is. How would they know? Now, loss is a concern for the buyer but the seller/shipper should be charging the buyer for insurance on anything of significant value. Build it into you cost. Never had an issue, so far. If you have reservations as either buyer or seller, then avoid using it.

2. USPS money orders are safest for the seller and no buyer should refuse to do that for you. I have done these without issue, you just have to wait a few days for the check to arrive.

3. Trump is the opportunist. Always was. He was a Democrat until he wasn't, now it's all about ego and revenge. The others smell blood... I mean $$$$$$ and they are simply racing to get into the bank vault with the door hanging open and the guard away for lunch. Just watch what happens. It will be quick and no one will understand how it happened.

4. Nothing has anything to do with the 2nd Amendment. Trump is no more pro-gun than PayPal, he's pro-whatever-gets-me-attention-and-followers. Now, other parts of the Constitution, there are quite a few Amendments that you should worry about if you're paying attention.

Nope. And I was cautious. Only place it could have been is ebay. Ebay doesn't pay through PayPal anymore due to to the purge of sellers selling firearms related stuff.

Thank you for all the replies.

Indeed, I know of PP anti 2A stance. That was never a question. I just wanted to know if its against their rules to ship a ML.
If you use and enjoy PayPal for other things, that is up to you and is your business not anyone elses...else's.... But, if you like using it for other things, please don't use it for a muzzleloader or any other gun related transaction. If somehow they find out, as you've seen above, they will lock your account, and they are very difficult to get answers from and deal with when they do. They held a bunch of my money for 90 days and would not tell me how I has violated the service agreement,,,, never did find out...
I've also seen them temporarily lock the accounts of several people who had done business with someone else caught using PayPal for a gun related transaction, even though their transaction was not gun related.

Save yourself the headache and hassle... Use a money order.

I have recently considered using Venmo but I'm uncertain about their policies. MO is good but inconvenient for my customers.

About 4 years ago I had a major security breach resulting in huge identity theft and fraud. My then new Venmo was compromised and I can't seem to get an account again unless I change phone numbers... 🙄
I do know several people who use it successfully and often, but usually just between friends/family.

I do use Cashapp on occasion. No complaints. But usually it's small amounts and most often between myself and someone I know.

Venmo is owned by PayPal and they have the same terms of service. If they determine you're selling guns through their payment service, they may close your account and keep all the money in it.
