"the gang knew" his friends were the gang, don't be confused, think,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am confused....If Brushy knew things that only the "Kid" knew, how did his supposed friends know the same thing?

I would like to see more on this. He had no siblings where would they get the dna to match? They tested a family relative of his vs one of Bonney's. The DNA results did not match. No exhumation needed.
When shot Garrets deputies said it was the wrong man,So who were the "gang", or friends? No names? No names, no friends.,..or gang. Think.......
Sooo...if Bonney wasnt shot...who was dead on the ground after the shooting? Isnt that probably the real question? Sure would be to the guy shot...And where and why did Bonney disappear to all the sudden? He sure didn't try to hide before hand. It is hard to believe that a lifetime hardened criminal suddenly became an angel and dissapeared.
you need to look at some videos on the subject, there is a lot of info on it. to vast to go into here,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So who were the "gang", or friends? No names? No names, no friends.,..or gang. Think.......

The problem with all of what you refer, is that Brushy is the sole witness to all the statements. Okay, Evans...when was i interviewed? where are his statements? Evans could very well be the instigator of misinformation if he could gain by Billy still being alive and able to settle the land dispute. All 2nd hand, very shaky info. What is not shaky...multiple witnesses to Billys killing, that he was present before...and very much after (dead). Myself, I dont have any brands in this fire...but inevitably with these potential missing people who ...show up decades later, someone has a lot to gain. Billys pardon? Does anyone really think he would have been pardoned for killing to deputies in his jail break?Daveboone in Brushy interview with Morrison he stated where he went after the incident. He also stated the couple of times where he was seen by law enforcement. But got away. One of Billy's one time enemies a guy named Evans hired Morrison to look into a land dispute. Evans was the very person who told Morrison where Billy was living. Evans the guy who had hired Morrison told him that they were combatants at one time. So why would he make up such a statement.?
Remember Brushy ( kid ) wasn't looking for any fame or recognition. He just wanted his pardon an nothing more. He also wanted a PRIVATE meeting with the Governor at the time. They turned it ( government ) into a circus . Soon after t he kid died of a heart attack.
So my questions would be:
B) How and when did Santa Anna recognize Crockett was a Mason? Masons were much more secretive in the 19th century and prior, and a secret Masonic hand gesture would be needed for one Mason to signal to another that he was a brother. Then in private conversation this could be confirmed between two Masons.

I think there was an old country song about people being less fun after the singer quit drinking
I truly dont recall the source, but it was an interview on talk radio about 2 years ago. I remember because we were driving south on hwy 281, almost in Hico.i have saw a lot on the subject and have never saw that. where is the video or article
that would be a bad way to die. ughhAnother thing...I read a lengthy article about the Alamo and General Coz was quoted many times, saying how they had captured Crockett and Coz asked Santa Anna, who was related to him, to spare Crockett life due to him being a US Senator. But SA didn't want to hear it, and orders him bayoneted by soldiers.
I will look for the book.
LD, the only question I can answer is to Crockett being a Freemason. I take this quote from the Ohio Grand Lodge website. So my questions would be:
A) have they confirmed that Crockett was a Mason? Of what lodge? IF they can document Joseph Brant being a Mason in the 18th century, they should be able to point to when and where Crockett became such.
B) How and when did Santa Anna recognize Crockett was a Mason? Masons were much more secretive in the 19th century and prior, and a secret Masonic hand gesture would be needed for one Mason to signal to another that he was a brother. Then in private conversation this could be confirmed between two Masons.
C) IF Santa Anna is alleged to have encountered Crockett alive, HOW did Crockett avoid the "no quarter" order given to the Mexican infantrymen (no prisoners) ? Santa Anna would not have been in the first wave that entered the grounds.
D) So IF Crockett did live long enough to catch Santa Anna's attention, and signal him, and was given special dispensation due to Masonic connections, where did Davey Crockett go, and where did he eventually die? Being sent to a mine is hardly the treatment one would give a brother Mason, whose life had just been spared. IF he was thought to be guilty of Rebellion against Santa Anna's rule, a quick and merciful death and Masonic rites at burial would be much more likely.
E) Were the alleged documents that seem to hint that Crockett survived, checked against timelines and family trees? In the first half of the 19th century, IF one had a relative that was elected to The House of Representatives in the US Congress, it would be quite normal for others in the Crockett family to name a boy "David" after their illustrious relative. More so after the heroic death at the Alamo, which is why I think the documents were given to "David Crockett" but not to the one that was at the Alamo.

I can't think of many good ways...that would be a bad way to die. ughh
He was promised that pardon In Spite of killing deputies, this was a range war after allThe problem with all of what you refer, is that Brushy is the sole witness to all the statements.
