Roundball, So the tumbler is pressed on the hammer shaft and is not actually a part of the hammer shaft? I've never removed the tumbler because the hammer is very tight on it's shaft and I didn't want to damage anything by prying it off. Can't get the darn thing clean!!
I could care less what everyone uses in their barrel, but I do have a suggestion about something that hasn't been mentioned: If you flood your barrel with water when cleaning like I do don't forget to get the water out from under your ramrod rib and sights.
