    Do your own Bear hunt/HELP

    :v one thing you can find out is if you can use fox urine as a cover scent. If you can use a drag rag covered in it as the bear and fox are after the same food sources and the bear will track the fox to kill it .I have had two bears come up the tree after me on stand when i haved used this...

    Primitive scent control?

    :grin: as everyone is saying watch the wind and stalk but i have tried an old trick from the old days to cover my scent and it works that is lay you cloths on or in a manure pile over nightand this will cover your scent very well but the wife wont let you in the house.

    my friend bought at auction a side by side smooth bore 12 gauge it has a bumble bee stamp with a D and L on each wing anyone know who the maker is or anything about this gun

    Cap sticking in hammer?

    what is the load that you are using. Generally there is to much back pressure and it adheres to the hammer do to heat . if you are using a hot shot maybe the nipple hole is to large

    Newbie mishap

    there is a lever type helper you can use on the ramrod to pry with with 10 gr that should not hurt the barrel at all if it did the barrel was bad to begin with the powder did not go off becaause the nipple was probably pluged and i have been muzzle loading for thirty years and never dry balled...

    Smacking the lock

    I do this when I drop the powder in the tube on perc. it moves some powder into the nipple area
