    Kapow and Rat Trappers logic is sound. Get what you really want. You'll be happier in the long run.

    Lyman GPR

    I've had some luck tightning groups by lapping the bore and dressing the crown as needed. Also the powder charge used can have a dramatic effect on group size.

    My word! That speaks very well for Lee Precision. To cover a product bought used. I've been thinking about acquiring the necessaries to produce REAL bullets. One more reason to step up the plan.

    Ball Stuck

    About 2 weeks ago I pulled a ball from a loaded T/C Hawken. The patent breech extends about 5/8 inch into the barrel proper so a ramrod will never "bottom out" at the nipple.

    Whoever built your gun knew what they were about. It looks like a Kentucky that has been "upgraded" to a percussion rifle circa 1840. Beautiful.
