    Alternate Ways to Mount Endcap...

    normaly they are pined with like a small head nail. Even a tack will work. Drill and put a small counter sink on the cap. Put the nail from barrel channel out though the cap then pein it flat and file, sand to smooth. If I had to I would epoxy it in :( but you are better off the other way)

    # 49 and 48 pattern maker files. I love my half round Vixion file Use it for everything wood metal Yhey are made for car body work. Big files 1/2 die round file, even a horse hoof file I just quess you can,t have to many files After they ware out there become a knife scraper. Needless to say...

    spring bending???

    You may need to draw it back some. Put it in your lead melting pot for about a 1/2 and the will do the trick. Just where the lead melts David

    Al most finish pistal project

    The barrel started out as 1 1/8x22" made it into two barrels Now 1'tapper to just over 3/4 if I remember right. It was a 50cal rifle now 58 smooth bore and will most likey will open it up to a 20ga David [/img] [/img]

    Here are some of my favorite tools shop made tools Wood handle scapers are out of spring steel and the barrel channel out of o1 Tool steel. the handle still needs some work need to add some wood to it but it is about 18' long David

    Fishdog Don't be afraid to ask before you start a piece to be put in. There is no race. This is to be r&r time. One of your biggest friends will be scrapers. In fact just made a new one for myself in the shape of the bottom half of a barrel barrel. Hope to post pictures of it today. David
