SOLD Enfield 1861 Masketoon .58 Like New $650 shipped

Fun to shoot but the Enfields don't have much drop in the stock. An excellent gun at a good price.

SOLD T/C Hawken .50 caplock. Appears unfired!

Yes, you can make an offer, but the listed price is what I have in the gun so be reasonable.

    Ammunition for a muzzleloader.

I think I still have a mold for a .54 Minnie. As I recall the recoil was heavy. No longer have any .54 guns.

    Considering a .40 caliber

Way back when.... I had a .36 T/C. Fun gun but even at .36 cal it was brutal on squirrels. If I was to do it again, I would look for a .32 cal.

Got #11 CCI caps in Walmart today

My local couldn't be reached via phone so I stopped by. Pegs and labels are there but no caps yet.

Roundball Twist On My White Mountian Carbine

I never understood why T/C made the carbine with such a fast twist but the 32"-barrel rifle is 1-60". Maybe they figured you can't burn much powder in that short barrel?

    Which group is the best?

Your 60 grains of FFFg is still pretty light for a .50 cal. I run 80 in my rifles with patched ball. Although I really don't think I need to shoot a flintlock out to 100 yards, I do all of my shooting there when looking for best groups (in any gun). Your best group at 100 will be your best...

Got #11 CCI caps in Walmart today

I keep checking locally but so far... nothing. I try searching on-line via Walmart.com but they are not listed. Did you just wander into the store and find them?

I will consider selling without the peep sight.

    TC Hawken

I shoot RB. I tried the REAL bullets in both a Lyman and a T/C. Not impressed with either. In .50 I shoot 80 grains of FFFg as my "go-to" load". In .54, it was 90 grains of FFFg. Going heavier in charges, I lost group size and had more unburned powder.

    T/C Hawken RB barrel?

I recently saw a genuine T/C Hawken with a factory marked barrel indicating 1-66" twist. I never knew they made such a thing. I would assume that they shoot as well as my Green Mountain barrel did...

SOLD T/C Hawken .50 caplock. Appears unfired!

SUPER nice T/C gun that is too nice for me to take hunting. Appears unfired. Original barrel sight and tang peep included. $505 shipped to lower 48. Ask me about payment methods...

    Too nice to shoot.

Going up for sale to fund a more suitable hunting gun.

    WANTED Flint lock

Spend some time narrowing down your choices via reviews of different guns.

Cheap imported flintlock rifles from the 80s.

Kassner did a lot of cheap imports. Thye used to be located just outside of Harrisburg, PA. I worked night shifts on the PD there. It was easy to pick up a small bucket of fired brass at their range from all of their test firing. I had one of their Italian O/U guns until I found that the...

    Indian Baker Rifle first impression

Most smooth bores don't have a rear sight, so good find. I run into a big ML guy at the range on occasion. He is a firm believer in load experimentation. Particularly with a nitro card over the powder, then a lubed fiber wad, then patched ball.

    Re-vamp the site?

I am fortunate in that my wife does not care what bows or guns I buy. I learned my lesson and now have a $$$ stash in the gun safe in case something pops up in the "gotta have" catagory.
