    Working on a jaeger

Don’t build it the same though. Lol. You may note that, although it has a lock on the right, it was built for a left hander, with the cheek piece on the same side as the lock

    patch question

You first need to find the actual caliber of the gun. Then choose a couple of different sized balls. Get some patching material. The most usual sizes at 15 and 20 thou. Start shooting at about 40 grains 2f or 3f go up in 5 grain increments. Bigger ball, smaller patch. Smaller ball bigger patch...

    WANTED 1728 French pattern flintlock

Looking for a reasonably priced French 1728 pattern, flintlock lock. Indian made, not a problem. Can be a later lock, but not as late as the 1777. It’s for a project. Bear in mind you’d be shipping to England, when working out postal costs. Thank you

How accurate can patched round ball be?

Every one of my rifles, might be able to do that. Problem is, I can’t. They’re all much more accurate than my eyes are. Lol

    PRB Lube

Only the patch needs to be lubed. As far as what to use as a lube, you’re about to get about 200 different answers. All of which will be the best lube ever! I’ll start by saying I use neat Murphy oil soap. Keeps fouling soft and I don’t need to clean between shots

    Restore A Flintlock Pistol

That’s because, being a top notch pistol, it would have a platinum liner

what is your favorite style of rifle?

Yes. It is for a left handed shooter. The sliding patch box is on the other side

what is your favorite style of rifle?

Thank you Cowboy. If you look carefully, you will see that the cheek piece is on the same side as the lock, therefore for a left handed shooter. The sliding patch box is on the other side

    Tea as a filler?

I believe so. I don’t believe many brands have changed over yet
  16. cositrike

    Tea as a filler?

Most definitely do, though some companies in England are now switching to a plant based bag
  17. cositrike

    Tea as a filler?

Most tea bags, especially the older ones, have plastic in them. Wouldn’t think they’d be good for nitrated cartridges

    The Curse Of The Sprue

I don’t bother with the sprue. I load sprue up and have never found a problem. Just me and my opinion.
