    My Second Build

Here is a picture of the scrapers that I made. The top one was the one I used the most for the raised carving.

    My Second Build

This was my first carving and I went into it not sure how I was going to do it. I decided to make a mini scraper and it worked. I think I can do a better job on the next one. Thanks

    My Second Build

The barrel keys are made from brass 1/4” bar. I annealed the end and hammered it to a mushroom.

    My Second Build

Here’s some pictures of my second build. This was not a kit. The stock did have the barrel channel and ram rod cut but other than that it was about 1” to 1 1/2” bigger than finished everywhere. The ram rod tip is deer antler. All the steel and brass have been aged. I made the trigger and patch...

Does your state have a Flintlock ONLY season?

    Is vinegar bad or good?

I agree Evaporust works the best for me. I use a mixture of vinegar and water to cause rust aging on my yard art. If you use vinegar be sure you flush it out completely or it will cause more rusting.

    TC Hawken reworked

I also reworked my TC Hawken. I rolled the forend and nose cap into the barrel for one thing.

    New W.B. Selb Hawken

Very nice rifle. I’ve shot trap with him on several occasions and he’s told me about his work of which he is very proud of rightly so. Oh and he’s a good trap shooter too. Congratulations on your new purchase!

    Flexing a barrel

I bought a TC Renegade from a guy on another site for $200. The rifle looked it was in great condition so I couldn’t understand why he was selling it so cheap. When I got it and took it to the range I found out why. It was shooting high by 12” at fifty yards. At first I started looking into...

Track of the wolf and the lefthand builder

Sitting Fox was offering left hand rifles. That’s where I got my NW Trade gun kit.

    Inexpensive throwing hawk recommendations?

I’ve been buying from Hatchets and Axes. The prices are fair and they have handles. Here is a picture of one that I dressed up. https://www.hatchetsandaxes.com/

    Nw trade gun

Lucky for me a friend had a Track drawing so it made it easy to finish the rifle. Thanks

    Nw trade gun

My first build was a NW Trade gun from Sitting Fox. I did have a problem with the barrel being the wrong diameter but Ray shipped me a new one right away. One disappointment for a first build was that there was only one page of instructions and it only referred to the bolt through the tang to...
