Here’s some pictures of my second build. This was not a kit. The stock did have the barrel channel and ram rod cut but other than that it was about 1” to 1 1/2” bigger than finished everywhere. The ram rod tip is deer antler. All the steel and brass have been aged. I made the trigger and patch box spring and the patch box of course. It was challenging but enjoyable.

I wish I had a work bench big enough to work on rifles. I completed a few TC Hawken kits on my kitchen table.

Very nice and very rewarding I’m sure. I love the personal touches and your carving. I just customized/rebuilt my Ped Kentucky recently and installed inlays instead of carving, just haven’t built up my nerve yet. Maybe on the next one......

This was my first carving and I went into it not sure how I was going to do it. I decided to make a mini scraper and it worked. I think I can do a better job on the next one. Thanks
