    Like what others have said. the problem is not wondering if the engergy is there, it's connecting to the target. practice using good ammo, and know your rifle. 100 yds without too much Kentucky windage and rainbow trajectory.

    Caps getting stuck in Hammer

    years ago when I had my b/p revolver I used to slightly pinch the caps to make them oval. they stayed on better then just puting them on. and I still do this when I'm hunting.

    this is easy, just eyeball it to get it close. See how much 70 gr is in a pile on some paper. guesstamate volume. then ajust.. make my horn powder measure in about 2 minutes.. you can't figure this out??

    .54 Cal Hawken at 100 yards

    yes, please post the results after the sight adjustment. I, too shoot a 54 and have been working at 50-60 yds. went back to 100 and it was quite an eye opening. I'd like to sight in at 100 yds, and adjust for shorter ranges. have fun with the .54, I am!!
