    GPR issues?????

Good question - I don't know of any custom work being done with the patent breech. Doesn't mean there isn't just none I'm aware of. In fact I would go out of my way to avoid one.

    First Muzzleloader Rifle

Buy a used one in good shape - TC,CVA,Lyman etc.... TC's can be had for under 200 sometimes and shoot it til you find out if your gonna stick with it and your personal tastes. Then when your hooked - you get your nice one.

    Austin Halleck Shooter's

490 85gr 2f .015 pillow w/minkoil The only reason I went with 490 is it loads easier. Ticking rinsed not washed - My bbl still tears up a loose woven patch. But this baby shoots.

    Rifle vs smooth bore

It usually goes like this cap to flint to smoothy. A smoothy loaded right will hold its own to 75yds.

    Austin & Halleck

Mine was blowin patches also (at first) Blew .010's and washed ticking .015's but rinsed ,015's that were still a little stiff and the weave stayed tighter all came together at once just in time for season 90gr GOEX FFG stiff ticking and a CCImag cap. Maybe bbl just broke in or right combo but...

    Austin & Halleck

Try the search they have had mixed reviews but I'm all for them, I love mine and am extremly happy. I've had CVA,Lyman,TVM and custom made. They blow away all production models IMO. Wouldn't give it a second thought.

Anyone have one of the RPL locks for thier GPR?? Where is half cock cut? Can you get a cap on in the half cock? Is the main spring stronger? Is it smoother than the factory lock? Any other observations?? Thanks in advance..
