    I've got a TC Hawkens in .45cal, I thought about taking it to the pawn shop an see if he'd be interested in trading me out for it. I also found the Mtn. Rifle on DGW for $225 new, printed that off an taking that in to him also, going to try an get it.

    Local Pawn shop has one for sale in .54, all brown furniture, the wood has been treated to propane tourch stripes, an small brass tacks all over it, front site missing an no ideal how the bore looks at this point but looks to be pretty clean.     Thanks guys, Suzkat as for how I finished the haft I soaked it in aquafortis then took a heat gun to it, steelwooled it good, after that I added some Klein's Orange Toner an steelwooled after it dried, then went over that with some Old Towne Lehigh Valley Red.     My kids got me a pipe hawk kit from track of the wolf for Christmas, finally got around to finishing it, poured a pewter mouthpiece an a couple of bands plus added a couple of inlays on it, I think it came out real nice, sure has some pretty curl, polished the axe up good, added some file work...
