    Cleaning Lock

Do you take the lock off after each shooting session or just once in a while to clean? What do you put on them to keep them working good? Thanks

    Set Screw

I have a Lyman GPR and have some questions about set screws. First of all if I were to replace it and get a longer one where could I find one? Like a hardware store or is there some site I could order one from??? This question doesnt have to do with the other stuff but, what would happen if...

    Powder Horn Pic

I didn't make this, but thought I'd post a pic anyways. The pictures aren't the greatest but you get the idea.

    First Rifle Done

Thanks for all the comments. I can't wait to start in on something else. The very first time it didn't fire, the pan powder went off, but the main charge didn't. After that it went off everytime. It shot low so I'll have to adjust the sights some. I was using .015 pathc and .530 round...

Is it possible for a company to mass produce powder horns with scrimshaw on them or are all horns with scrimshaw on them hand made? Thanks

    First Rifle Done

Here's some pics of my first build. It is a .54 GPR. It was cold blued (wished now it was browned) and the stock was done with wlanut stain nad tru-oil. I got a chance to shoot it mon. night but only got 5 shots off. Maybe this weekend I'll get out and shoot some more. Thanks for looking...

    Powder Horn

I've been looking at some powder horns on this site made by people and notice that most have a yellowish apperance. What do they put on them to make them look this way? Is it a protective coatig or just personal prefference? Thanks!

    Drilled Touch hole

I was thinking of drilling out my touch hole to 1/16. I've read on here of other people doing that. So do most people shoot it first to see how it is or just when they buy a new gun they auotmatically drill it out? What does coning do and how do you go about it? Also are there any aftermarket...

    traditions pa pellet rifle quality

I second the sights being terrible. I had the front one come off and had to order a new one. Replacing would be a good idea. Other than that, no problems at all.

    Best Browning

So with this LMF stuff, is it necessary to have a sweat box or is there another way to do it?

    Cold Blueing

Well I only have three parts done; the buttplate , estuchens (sp, things by the barrel wedges) and the trigger guard. I'm seriously condsidering taking it off and browning it now. Most everything I read leans that way andyhow.

    Best Browning

So is it easier and more durable than say a cold blue?
  16. R

    Best Browning

So is the LMF pretty easy to use? Like somone browning for the first time could use it? How durable is it?
  17. R

    Best Browning

There are probably a ton of different opinions but thats ok. I'm looking for a durable and easy to apply brown. Any ideas?

    Cold Blueing

I'm about ready to start cold bluing my barrel and have some questions. First of all I'm using Birchwood casey liqiud perma blue. Now how should I go about it? The instructions say to let it sit for 30-60 seconds before rinsing. So by the time I get one part done the ohter part will need...

    Inside the barrel

What does bore butter do then? I'm a little confused because I thought that "seasoned" it.
  20. R

    Inside the barrel

Is there any type of finish on the inside of muzzleloader barrels or are they just left bare? I know you have to season them, but I'm thinking more like some type of finish on the metal. Thanks.
