First Rifle Done

Here's some pics of my first build. It is a .54 GPR. It was cold blued (wished now it was browned) and the stock was done with wlanut stain nad tru-oil. I got a chance to shoot it mon. night but only got 5 shots off. Maybe this weekend I'll get out and shoot some more. Thanks for looking

It's obviusly the bottom one in the pics. The top is a hawken.

Thanks for all the comments. I can't wait to start in on something else.

The very first time it didn't fire, the pan powder went off, but the main charge didn't. After that it went off everytime. It shot low so I'll have to adjust the sights some. I was using .015 pathc and .530 round ball. The store didn't have any .535. The only thicker patches they had were pre-lubed and cost a lot more. I do have some pillow ticking material I cut to size so I'll have to see how they work. Here's one more pic too.

Great looking job! I like that possibles bag and love that horn. Is that streak of greenish color I see on the horn for real or did flash cause that?

No the flash didn't cause it, but its not really green. Its more white than anything I guess.
