    Wild Brahman Cattle

Ground up it would make the absolute best tasting hamgurger. When we butcher older cattle they are turned into ground meat as the age is where the best flavor in a burger comes from.

    Weight of a .750 ball?

Hello, what would be the weight of a cast in pure lead .750 round ball? My reloading scale doesn't go high enough. I would like to know so I can get an appropriately sized scale so I can check my casting quality/uniformity as I'm still trying to get the hang of pouring ball. Thank you, Jim

    Not Getting Caught

The virtue of integrity, arguably one of the most important, is how I conduct myself when the only one looking is me. Following the game law is the very easiest path.

    barrel making stuff

If this is considered hijacking a thread, please let me know and I will delete. I have been wondering what tools/machines a person would need if they wanted to make octagon or oct-round barrels that are rifled? I know of the availability of plans for rifling tools, but what tools would be...

    Caliber according to PA regulations?

Hello, When the regulation states that small game can be hunted with a .40 cal or less, is that bore size or ball size? Example 2: for deer the reg states .44 cal or bigger, is that bore or ball? Thank you.

    Found a curly maple today....

Please be extra mindful of the limbs. Maple limbs tend to break off readily when a standing dead maple is felled. I hope I'm wrong and the wood is sound.

    Curly maple question

I'm only 20 miles from you and could show you, on a dead tree in my woods, what to look for under the bark if you are interested. Send me a PM if you are.

Question for the Wood Guys here??

The heart, being the first wood put on, will have knots from any of the first branches that grew. The number and distance into the outer wood depends entirely on amount of shade the tree had when it started growing. The more light, the longer the lower limbs stay living, and the bigger and...

    two barrel loops

Looks as though the blows were landed with intention, not just a "pound on it till it's stuck" approach  There appear to be a progression of strikes with either a rounded chisel or a fine crosspean like the type used to draw out the edge on a scythe. Starting further away from the edge...

    Where to start

I don't have a whole lot of experience so this is worth what you paid for it. I think the suggestion to buy an in the white gun is the most logical. Here is why: I bought a "kit" as I wanted to shoot/hunt right away and thought all I had to do is put it together, I knew nothing of this site or...

Anyone have Bobby Hoyt make a barrel?

I have a 50 5/16" in .46 cal and 54 1/4" in .55 cal made by Bob and won't hesitate to have him make more. Good barrels.
