    Whoops!

Don't ever, and I mean don't ever :shake: :shake: :nono: :nono:  try to dye leather in the house. I spilt a half quart of black leather dye on my work bench in the shop. Had it been in the house I probably would not be telling this story. Teton Ted

    .36 Texas Paterson Revolver

If I hadn't traded about 15 years ago for this uberti patterson I probably wouldn't have one. Of all the black powder shooting I do, the closest contact with history for me is the patterson. It seems it was such an important change in firearm. Just finished making a holster for it. Don't have...

    Diamondback powder

Tried it in a Walker pistol. Shot the same for accracy but seamed to get a little more recoil (45 gr.load and round ball.) It was alot more dirtier and harder to reload then goex. Think I'll stay with the goex powder. It was 3fff powder that I tried. Hope this helps ya. Teton Ted

    stuff you can't live without.

I really like this squirrel spit.  It was made by a blacksmith and can be used for other small game or what ever. Just use a piece of wire or butcher string to tie on your morsels. You can turn the skewer around and use the hook to boil any liquids you like. It is light...

    Squirrel Hunting tips

I find another good food for bushytails are hedge apples or osage orange. They will only eat the seeds,so they leave a mess on the ground. Dont know if every one has osage tress where they hunt, but is another food they like. Good hunten. Teton Ted

    Late season Squirrel hunt

Bill, You can't go wrong with the recipes here on the forum. For an older squirrel I like my wife's crock pot to simmer them and get'em tender. My favorit is fried with biscuts and gravy. Teton Ted

    Late season Squirrel hunt

Monday was a perfect day for a hunt. Temperatures in the 60s with sunny skies. Went out late afternoon and had a great time. I have hunted squirrels for many years but have to say hunting with a flinter is one of the best. A good tip for success is to just go and go often. I'm glad I can share...
