    Don't Fit my TC Hawken

I am thinking of purchasing a GPR myself. Just wanted to know how others felt. I have heard good things about them especially from those who had problems with their fit with a TC.

I have to do the same thing with my TC, really hug my cheek to the stock. I am pretty much black and blue after yesterdays shooting.

    Don't Fit my TC Hawken

Everytime I shoot my TC Hawken or Renegade my cheek takes a beating. Do either the Lyman Trade Rifle or GPR have more drop in the stock than the TC's?

    Lyman Trade Rifle?

Anyone have any experience with this rifle? Pros and Cons. I have a TC Hawken and Renegade. Looking for something else. My cheek takes a beating evertime I shoot them.

    Powder Flask?

I am thinking about buying a powder flask with the premeasured nozzle for 75 grains. Mostly interested in it for hunting and not having to carry speed loaders. I use a powder measure at the range but in the interest of keeping the amount of gear down I am thinking of using the flask instead...

    PRB in cold weather?

I am NJ so it could go either way. Muzzleloader Season starts the last week of November and could go to February depending on where you hunt.

    PRB in cold weather?

Has anyone had any issues using either ox-yoke prelubed patches with wonder lube or T/C prelubed patches with bore butter while hunting in cold weather.

    Custom Stock?

Thanks for all the information. I am not really experienced with inletting and finishing stocks. I am not sure I would wan't to spend the money for those stocks just to make a mistake on it and ruin it.

    Bore Brush stuck in Barrel

Dave, thanks alot for all the help and information you provided. It was great meeting you. Took your advise and ordered all the supplies I would need from Dixon's. I can't wait to get the supplies to shoot. Also cleaned the gun like you suggested when I got home. Thanks again.

    Bore Brush stuck in Barrel

Just got a .54 Renegade and ran a .50 bore brush with a wet patch down the bore. The brush somehow broke off and is stuck down at the bottom. Tried using a CO2 and air compressor to get it out but the air is escaping around the patch and brush because it isnt a real tight fit. Any suggestions?

    Suggestions for shooting .54cal PRB

I've never used a wad while shooting PRB. What are the pro's and con's of doing so compared to without?

    Suggestions for shooting .54cal PRB

Thanks I will give it a try.

    Suggestions for shooting .54cal PRB

After reading a few other posts about different types of lubes I might try something other than T/C's lube. I hunt in NJ where it can get considerably cold at times and would like to prevent the lube from freezing.

    Suggestions for shooting .54cal PRB

That is the same gun I plan on hunting with. Do you use T/C patches or another company? What do you use to lubricate the patch as well?
