    thanks for the help guys. boar dilly my trigger is exactly like that.However,it does the wiggle thing with everything lined up right.I'm going to try to talk with tca customer service on monday.It may be this way by design,as mentioned in an earlier post.

    Goex is made in Louisiana.didn't you say you were from Louisiana? The distributor for goex in La. is Jack's Powderkeg. Go to the goex website or straight jacks powderkeg website.Jack is a great guy.prices are reasonable too.

    New to Caplocks,but not intimidated generally.     All I ever found around here are Hornady. I'll have to look closer next time I go to our local Cabela's wanna be sporting store. Anything is possible.they may be a shade bigger. Might be .495's labeled wrong.Find some calipers.

    I plan on doing all of what you mentioned to mine.The finish color of the stock on mine is what I would consider uncommon.I may leave it alone and just work on the metal parts.Yours looks great.nice job on the stock.

    thanks,TG,I'm pleased with it.Kittery had it listed as a Hawken Rifle.didn,t realize till I received it yesterday,that it was the Mountain variety.They did list however that it was made in U.S.A. That is what prompted me to have them hold it for me.I figured it was worth what they were asking...
