Here's my .50 cal CVA Mountain Rifle I bought in 1978. I'll bet I don't even have 100 rounds through it, having bought a T/C Hawken in .54 cal a couple of years later that I shot a lot more often.

Thanks. I didn't start off with such a nicely stocked rifle. The original one - I was 15 at the time - had problems with the lock right away, if I recall correctly. I sent it back to CVA and they sent me a brand new one and on the end flap of the box the word "Special" was written in pen. The first one had decent wood, but this was by far nicer. Needless to say, I was really happy with CVA's customer service.
