    Help identify borescope discoveries please?

I too have a Teslong but mine is the model with the attached camera device. What model do you have? It seems much clearer at side photos than mine. Mine has issues with clear images that are too close to focus.

    Identifying muzzle loader breach types

I have several Front Stuffers and have put my Bore Scope down each when I clean them. I am trying to determine exactly what type of breach each Manufacturer uses as each brand looks different. I want to run a "Scraper" down in to clean the breach but do not want to damage the internals. My...

    Carrying pre lubed patches

One of my methods of carrying patches and lube is a simple tin saved from flea collars. The olde Bayer ones.

    Traditions Tennessee Flinter bore object?

Appears to have been fouling left behind by previous owner neglect. I had to use TC foaming bore cleaner to reduce and dislodge it. Worked great. Simple patches did not make a dent so I thought it was damage. All is great now. The TC foam is fantastic!

    Traditions Tennessee Flinter bore object?

That is why I run my bore scope into every used piece I get. I was able to clear the object and get a clean barrel. If you all do not have a bore scope. Get one. I had used mine for a myriad of projects. Under refrigerator searches. Into my engine by way of the spark plug ports. It is an endless...

    Lyman Trade Rifle inletting issues

Not a kit rifle. Purchased as a finished product. It was very poorly done. I called it a kit as I will have to finish the work that was supposed to be done.

    Traditions Tennessee Flinter bore object?

Not a foreign object. I was able to clean out the obstruction. This carbine was unloved by its previous owner. It even had an extra thimble attached midway for a sling mount which failed. Not enough material to hold any weight. I have to find a brass slotted screw to replace the gaudy bright...

    Traditions Tennessee Flinter bore object?

Picked up a very used Traditions Tennessee Flintlock and ran my borescope in it. What the heck is this? An object on the opposite side of the touch hole. Also has trigger issues. I reworked the trigger and made it "acceptable". i found that the rear "set" trigger was way out of specs. Incredible...

    Traditions Tennessee rifle

It is the shortest rifle in this group. Third down from top.

    Traditions Tennessee Flintlock

Just picked up a beat up used one today. I am in the process of reviving the olde beastie. Interesting design. It may be great for me to teach my Grandson to shoot front stuffers. At first I thought that someone had cut down and recrowned a full length York style rifle. 1:66 twist usually...

    Balistol questions...

I use Balistol on almost everything/ Tastes great. I am using it to clean and protect all of my metal objects to include my front stuffers. I run a clean patch sown the bore before any range work. I see some mix it half and half to make their patch lube. How does this work for y'all? I use bees...

    Lyman Trade Rifle inletting issues

THAT IS SIMPLY BRILLIANT. I HAVE ALSO USED THE MARK UP METHOD OF ADDING A SUBSTANCE TO THE BARREL TO FIND WHERE IT SHOWS ON THE STOCK AND USING A STEEL STRAIGHT EDGE TO FIND THE HIGH SPOTS. I REALLY LIKE THE SAND PAPER ON THE BARREL IDEA!

    Lyman Trade Rifle inletting issues

I got one of the last Lyman Trade Rifles in 50 calibre Flint and as it was supposed to be a full and complete kit I was dismayed that the barrel would not sit in the stock nor the ramrod meet the channel it resides in. I called Lyman and they were somewhat helpful in that they had their Gun Tech...

    Lyman Trade rifle

I am going to wait for a reply from Lyman and then if no joy from them, I will conduct my own fitting of the barrel to stock. I am amazed that there seems to be a dearth of front stuffers available anywhere.

    Lyman Trade rifle

Ramrod works fine in the barrel. It is the inletting that is an issue. As these are discontinued items I am not going to send it back. I will fix the issues myself, but I was very disappointed in the fit of the stock to barrel.

    Lyman Trade rifle

I just got a new Lyman Trade Rifle in 50 cal Flinter. Fit and finish are sub par. The barrel does not fit as it has a bold spot that is barely noticeable a few inches forward of the breech causing a rocking motion when mounted without the wedge. I put a steel straight edge against it to find the...
