Hi Juggernaut,
I have the penn in flint also.
Broke the ramrod, almost went through my wrist.
Replaced it with a brass rod, man is it heavy.
But I think it helps my shot groups.
At 120 yds, I was 1 to 2 inches off the center bullseye.

Yes that ramrod is long. When using I exercise extreme caution not to puncture the palm of my hand. Thanks for the tip I may try a brass ramrod

Does anyone have the Traditions Tennessee Flintlock? Hows the quality?
Been thinking about a purchase.

Just picked up a beat up used one today. I am in the process of reviving the olde beastie. Interesting design. It may be great for me to teach my Grandson to shoot front stuffers. At first I thought that someone had cut down and recrowned a full length York style rifle. 1:66 twist usually reserved for longer barrels. Interesting piece.
