    Tang screw

    :hmm: I have seen references to using both a 1.5" oval headed wood screw, and a machine type screw, on a Pennsylvania longrifle, from the tang into the trigger plate like we used to do on Hawkens. What do you think best?

    Filling Gaps...

    I use Acraglass bedding colored to match the finish. Got it from Brownells.

    Inletting Tools?

    Might try scarfing the back of the inlay and setting it with a little Acraglas colored to your finish. Makes for an almost invisable fix.
