Patch box Inlet question
I'm installing a Bean style patch-box on a Kibler SMR. The patch-box is inlet flush, except in one spot, about 3/8" at the center front of the patch-box. The metal is about a 1/16" lower then the wood. I think it's because of the curve in the profile of the stock. I did my best to try and...- The Deacon

Kibler SMR ordered
After thinking about it, I decided not to install a nose cap. As you said, 'there isn't much of wood to work with'. Plus, my inletting skills are not the greatest. they're good enough for a toe plate of a patch box. but, i believe installing a nose cap on a kibler SMR is another level.- The Deacon

Colerain 42 ", 50 Cal, "B" weight barrel dimensions question
Ok, It took me a while but I managed to get the Pan to sit up tight against the barrel. But, I still need some direction. The lock plate now is about an 1/8 " below the surface of the wood. Has anyone had this problem and how did you resolve it?- The Deacon

I think I may have badly screwed up already. This is really my first build so I'll need all the help and advice I can get. I tried inletting the lock plate and have gotten this far. Numrich Double barrel rifle find.
