help...stuck load...historic flintlock
this is a historic rifle....it is loaded and ive tried every thing to get the load out...screw on ram rod wont touch it...its from santa clara indian pueblo and ill bet hasnt been shot in 200 years...i dont want to hurt the patina on the gun but would love to see whats in it...any ideas ...- fred fellows

help to identify flint rifle
this rifle came off of santa clara pueblo in new mexico....i got it from grandson of great great great grandfather who as governor of pueblo,,,,in trade for lift kit and big tires for his truck....it is 50 cal and rawhide repair hides maker if any....not typical lancaster trade rifle as it has...- fred fellows

i got this rifle from great great great grandson of governor of santa clara pueblo in new mexico...he said is been in the family forever and most of the family now works at the casino and dont care...he needed to get a lift kit and big tires for his truck...the raw hide repair is hiding any...- fred fellows

great looking knife...i would tack the sheath....when i lived at bigfork i got this knife from vivian roberts who owned the old 44 bar close to post creek not far from ft. conah...that was in 1970s...its the real thing ...an indian traded it to her husband for a bar bill...- fred fellows

on page 9 for trade or treaty firearms of the american indians 1600 -1920 by RYAN R. GALE....trader joseph isbister wrote in august of 1740; the guns are good but have too much wood in their stocks,the indians liking them more slinder and to be free of knots,and also to have the guard...- fred fellows

Questions about all the knives and axes
guys...this is an original knife out of an old collection in texas...straight blade with sharpened false edge...11 1/2 inch blade...straight grind...very sharp still...no median ridge so great for cutting..handle appears rosewood...sheath appears buffalo or bull hide with strange little star...- fred fellows

indian trade gun
guys...im going to start posting on this forum....most of the forums are on replica and shooting...ill start with a parker field hudson bay northwest gun...sawed off..and the rifle bag that came with it...they came off of the wind river res. in 1969...- fred fellows

phil....ive asked several collectors ....they all think just piece of wood with close small stripes...here is one of my lehmans with artificial stripes...as comparison....what do you think ???lehman was trying to make his guns look like that tiger stripe maple....fred- fred fellows

bob...youve got a good eye...thats my favorite too...knife has in house HBC stamp on it...inside is bag of 54 cal balls and aiso fire steel in its own buckskin bag wrapped with tow...bag appears to be indian tanned elk...knife sheath looks to indian tanned buffalo bull....scriver store since...- fred fellows
