    How accurate are your smoothbores?

That'd tell the story but honestly speaking the shooting you guys are doing with smoothies is way beyond what I suspected. Put's that type of gun in a whole new light and now I need another flinter!

    How accurate are your smoothbores?

Nice piece, especially the originality and being able to use it. Does caliber, heavier vs. lighter, seem to make any difference accuracy wise?

Thanks. Be interesting what the other smoothies say. Sure as hell loading has to be easier.

    How accurate are your smoothbores?

Am truly enjoying my flint rifle and have never even been around a smooth bore/musket. Might be fun to mess with if there is a modicum of accuracy. What is considered 'accurate' for a smoothie?

2nd range day and a question for you

Dry here and GOEX residue gets hard pretty quickly. Still looking for that nice clean shooting BP.....lol

2nd range day and a question for you

I was using what I had a 25 meter pistol target, black is 8 inches. They are all black with no bulls eye so I tape a 2.5x2.5 cloth patch in the center to give my eye a point of aim.....pretty scientific huh.

2nd range day and a question for you

another afternoon alone on the range shooting at 100 yards. Printed in the black about a 12" area, had some throwers where I knew I'd jerked some. Printing regularly low and 7 o'clock. This has been consistent on the low so I'm going to start over at 25 yards and confirm before I do any front...

2nd range day and a question for you

Didn't notice your whereabouts til now. Got a soft spot for Aussies, few of your guys and myself took on a few MP's in Vung Tau in country R&R one late evening. We lost, they had radios. No harm done tho. I'll be ordering some GOEX tomorrow...what the hell is WANO?

2nd range day and a question for you

You'd love our range. There is no staff. Once you are pooped up on the operation you get the combo for the gate...open and relock it. I go in the afternoon and lately am there totally alone...whole place to myself. If you use some target stuff that's provided you put some quarters in the...

2nd range day and a question for you

I've got the hopes enroute so will try that first. Going shooting at 100 yds tomorrow. Had to repair my kit today, that old bag is about 40 years old and was showing some wear.

2nd range day and a question for you

That's interesting...looked the stuff up. Might give that a try too...never know what'll work best until you try it out.

The beging of my newest Tennessee

Woodchucks all of ya. Is that AZ BLM, State prop or Fed. Park that's so restricted? Don't seem to have that issue down here but I go horseback most places. Hillbilly that just looks like a board to me, I suspect you can see the potential but I've never been a wood worker except cutting firewood.

2nd range day and a question for you

Yeah, I just bought a bunch of it there. I'm enjoying the process of dialing everything in. Working the flinter has rejuvenated my shooting desire....that coppette rejuvenated something else but it was range related.

2nd range day and a question for you

All good points. The barrel is well seasoned as it is a 2nd hand purchase. Once I get some .015 material I'll experiment with dif lubes. I suspect that fowling will harden here right quick due to the heat and lack of moisture...so maybe some Hoppes cleaner lube would work. I'm going to try that...

2nd range day and a question for you

that's a good idea...should work til I burn the patches up. I don't think that was her plan, she looked pretty comfortable in those jeans.
