    Yea, those are the best hinges the hardware store had, unfortunately. The cherry is an inch thick at the bottom of the oak, hard to see from the pics, I'll post better ones tonight! It's my uncles shop, he does wood working for a living, to say the least he's good. Thanks!

    First attempt at knives

    Not bad firsts at all! If you want feedback... One thing to consider on with your next ones would be to slim your handles, giving more of a streamlined, smooth look. Better than my firsts though, nice work!

    Hey all! This is my most recent knife. The blade is from an old saw blade and the scales are Hawiian Koa wood...(close enough to maple right:)?). I acid etched the blade to age it. This was for a friend for his birthday who is also a member of this forum. What do you all think? Thanks!
