    The picture shows a pretty common style Elizabethan Caliver, as shown in the Lant Roll. And that being said, they are more comfortable to shoot on the pec muscle than in the shoulder. A friend of mine owns one which he uses regularly. :m2c: Jim G

    Well, i have both, for re-enactment/battle i prefer a tricker style. For target shooting i prefer a bar style as it give me more control in lowering the match to the pan Jim G

    If i were going to do anything it would be some bone inlay along the forearm, or along the comb of the stock......something simple that has some "skrimshaw" work on it in a geometric pattern, or something simple Jim G

    On a side note, I have shot one before, and they are a wonderful piece. 4 of my friends own them. They are heavy, but they shoot wonderfully. Now comes the fun job of finding one on the used market. :youcrazy: Thanks again, Jim G

    Well, the point seems to be moot, unless i can find one used. They have put a halt on production of their 17th century matchlock until 2006. The search goes on Thanks all Jim G
