Chain Fire Workaround: Skip Every Other Chamber?

So, the sentiment here is "Don't go asking stupid questions because this stuff is old and somebody reached an answer before you were born, but rather than let you find that answer yourself, we'll just tell you to ignore the question and just do things perfectly and there won't be a problem..."

    Walker... Or... Dragoon...

"Sam Walker approached Colt with specifications for a gun big enough to down a horse. By bludgeoning, if necessary..." -- some comment on some YouTube video on the Walker.

Chain Fire Workaround: Skip Every Other Chamber?

So, no curiosity in this bunch... Believe me, finding out this doesn't work is just as good as seeing if it does. At least we can either add it to our list of possible options or we can educate others that this won't keep a poorly loaded chamber from catching a flashover.

    Walker... Or... Dragoon...

Walkers and Dragoons were designed as cavalry arms. It was Job #1 for the guns.

Chain Fire Workaround: Skip Every Other Chamber?

I'm looking for experimental data to use against a hypothesis, not a soapbox. The question is: "Will it work?" and not "Should you be doing it?"

    Walker... Or... Dragoon...

When your first impressions of a handgun are established by handling one of these, no other revolver on Earth is going to feel 'too heavy'...

Chain Fire Workaround: Skip Every Other Chamber?

Pose a worst-case scenario: you have rounds that fail to swage a full ring of lead (too small or out-of-round) and/or your caps aren't seating well. Will the distance + 120 degree shielding angle of the arbor keep the flash from impacting the lower chambers? Barring that, how about two shots in...

Does anyone bring 2 revolvers to the range and load and shoot both?

The real question is: Would the range let you shoot both at the same time?

Chain Fire Workaround: Skip Every Other Chamber?

Imagine a scenario where you need to reload for more than one shot, say on a trail or on a hunt, but you have none of the usual chain fire preventatives like bore lube or wadding-- just powder and rounds. Do you think a possible workaround to prevent chain fires would be to simply load three...
