    What kind of material, I would love to jump on the band wagon for making my own. I have bore butter for lube already, I really just picked the precuts out for my friend, but I was seeing if I could shoot those. When you cut your own patches, do you still cut them in a circle, or a square...

    I got some 50 caliber patches pre lubed w/ borebutter, but I was wondering if I could use em with my 54 cal, the .530 ball fits indide of the patch pretty good, but I didn't know how much, if any of a difference it would make from using a 50 cal sized patch on a 54. Thanks....

    What about the hammer, do you need to lube that assembly? I have a lyman deerstalker, and I haven't taken the packing grease out yetm but when I do and start shooting it, you basically take the barrel off, then the nipple, then wash real thourough, then reasemble after drying and oiling?I'm...

    Does anyone know of any place in the houston area in texas that sells black

    I've tried bass pro, but they don't have .54 cal roundballs, so I need a place that sells roundballs and some shooting patches (not pre lubed if possible) I know they used to have a specialty shop that sold only bp, but it went out of business a few years back. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

    Will WD-40 work? Also, I have the bore butter, and after I clean out the grease that is in my barrel, I put it in the barrel, or do yall mean just put it on the patch/ball? Thanks....Travis I'm not up with trhe terms, so what does "season" mean when they said season the barrel w/ borebutter
