Hmmm....so I'll get the wonder wads, file my front site down a bit because my peep is maxed out on elevation and try and get 3 inches high at 25 yards. 80 Gr pyrodex P seems to be the accuracy load. Will the wads do anything to the load as far as improving or taking away accuracy?

What is the purpose of the wonder wad? Also with PRB's what kind of accuracy and trajectory should I expect? Also deer dropping power?

Can the need to swab be fixed?

Ahh thanks. I have a jag. Do you use the same patch as for loading a ball?

What about swabbing shooting conicals? I ran a brass brush down the bore yesterday after 3 shots and then had a FTF. Did I knock the powder residue down and plug the touch hole from nipple to bore?

Howie mine is wood stocked and pretty good looking. I'll post a pic when I figure out how. I need a peep with my old eyes. I maxed out the elevation adjustment today and got it dead on at 25 yards with the 385 Hornady GPB. Didn't shoot at 50, ran out of daylight. I'd like to file the front brass...

No need to file the front sight as the Williams is windage and elevation adjustable. I used to shoot 100 Gr pyro. And yes kicked like an Arkansas mule! Tomorrow I believe I will bump it to 90 grains to get a bit more velocity. Then adjust peep to get a tight consistent group about 2" high at 25...

Hi new here. I have a .50 cal. wood stocked CVA mountain stalker. Just had a Williams peep installed because I can't see the open sights anymore. I shot it today to see where it hit. Was 3 inches low at 25 yards. So I moved to 50. 6 inches low. The load was 80 Gr Pyrodex P Behind a Hornady Great...
