    load for a Mowrey??

    I've got a .54 mowrey, shoots real well with 80 gr. fffg and .530 round ball.I've got a .45 thompson center seneca that I shoot 55gr of fffg and round ball with good results, in Colorado you can't hunt big game with a .45 round ball so I haven't killed anything bigger than a rock chuck with it...

    Mowrey rifle

    I've got a .54 mowrey I got new from Deer Creek several years ago.It's got 1 in 66" twist shoots great I've taken a lot of game with it, I picked up several springs from deer creek a few years back for spares, I'll bet you can still get parts from them.

    Mowrey percussion rifle??

    I've got a mowrey .54 I got from Deercreek several years ago.Mine shoots really well with 80 gr. of 3fg, .530 ball and .15 patch. It's a really simple gun, you can adjust the trigger pull by a little allen screw on the trigger, you can also call Deer creek and get a spare spring just in case...
