    Deerhunter arrived yesterday!

The barrel is as long as the one of the .50. the .45 is a european version only. But works well both with PRB and Maxiballs (240 grs). Here is a pic. http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w114/Kirrmeister/PICT0723.jpg

    Max powder charge?

Investarm, the manufacturer of the GPR, is an italian firm. Italy is member of the C.I.P. So all ML from them are C.I.P. proofed. You can load them up to a mx. load of 132 grs or 1400 bar/20.000 Psi when using conicals. Regards Kirrmeister

Help! Worse availability of ML in Germany!

Hi jethro, nice idea! From the german side of law no problems with trading .45 GPR barrels to the USA because in Germany all traditional (origin and replika) single shot ML can be shipped to the USA. But how is it the other way and who ants to do it. If I could get a .54 GPR I would ship a .45...

Help! Worse availability of ML in Germany!

You are right, Sir! But as a NMLRA field rep I'm not only talking for me! I have to take care that all other interested guys are able to get ML, too. Even in bigger cals than .45. And not everyone can afford a semi custom, etc. Regards Kirrmeister

    Deerhunter arrived yesterday!

I changed the sight meanwhile into a fiber sight which gives a better sight view especially in the dawn. Our game (roedeer) is in most cases only active when it gets dawn or even in the night. In Germany you are allowed to hunt from 1 hour before sunrise during the day until 1 hour after dawn...

Help! Worse availability of ML in Germany!

Oh! Compared to that we are really in heaven here in Germany. Generally the import of a ML from the USA costs me the USD price in €. For example a Trad. Deerhunter is about USD 200/€ 140 plus shipping and taxes makes € 200. Regards Kirrmeister

Help! Worse availability of ML in Germany!

Oh I understand! Yes that is possible, but a bit expensive because of shipping costs. Shipping a Deerhunter from the USA to Germany is $ 50. And then we have to pay customs fee and tax here for it (19% tax from the value and 3 % customsfee). Regards Kirrmeister

    Deerhunter arrived yesterday!

Hello from Germany! Yesterday I got my Deerhunter rifle from Ardesa/Traditions in .45 perc. Has a beachwood stock and a 1 in 66" PRb twist. I find it a bit bad that it has only brass front sight and iron rearsight. Tomorrow I'll test it. Think it will be my roedeer rifle, because it is so...

Now I'm living in southern bavaria, but I grew up near Grafenwöhr Training Area in the Upper Palatinate! Regards Kirrmeister

Help! Worse availability of ML in Germany!

Not really! When I want a .54 GPR for example the company had to order a minimum number of 20 rifles at Investarm, that they deliver them. But no company will do that, because the rest of 19 can't be sold or is a too high risk. Regards Kirrmeister

Help! Worse availability of ML in Germany!

No License needed in FLA for Boar

Hello from Germany! Is there a special season or is it possible through the whole year? For non-residents, too? I want to come over for holiday next year during august. Regards Kirrmeister

Help! Worse availability of ML in Germany!

Hello from Germany! Here in Germany the availability of ML in cal. bigger than .45 is getting more and more worse. And even the .45 is only possible to get from Ardesa/Traditions. Investarm is shipping their whole production to the USA (Lyman) and doesn't manufacture so many .45, but more .50...

    Black Powder Solvents

Hello from Germany! When starting ML shooting I was also a water-only scrubber, but meanwhile I'm a solvent-only cleaner. And I have to say that with solvent and after it, oiling, the rustpreventing us far better. Regards Kirrmeister

It ain't been a good year but, gees! LONG!

Hi RC! I feel with you! My season was even much more worse! I got only one roe with modern rifle. With my smokepole I saw many, but it was never possible to get one. Sometimes too far away, sometimes they were disturbed and escaped, sometimes it was my falt. So my last hope is now to get one in...

Hello from Germany! I changed the iron sights of my .50 Hawken Woodsman and my .45 Deerhunter (both from Ardesa/Traditions) to fiber sights from "AimRight"nour ordered form Log Cabin Shop. Here in Germany nothing comparable is available. Regards Kirrmeister
