As I already told you I was able to get a Traditions (former Dikar) Woodsman Hawken .50 perc.with a round stainless barrel. Are there any advantages/disadvantages in comparison to a oct. blued barrel? Regards Kirrmeister

    Adequat roedeer cal?

    Adequat roedeer cal?

I don't know how the regualtions were in the 60's, but meanwhile the min. cal. for roedeer when using cartridgerifles is .222. For ML and shotguns there are no min. cals or min. energies  Regards Kirrmeister

    Adequat roedeer cal?

.36 yes with conical, with RB a .45 would be better because of bloodtrail. Livershots are not usual, but they can happen! Normally we make loungeshots or neckshots here in Germany! Kirrmeister

    Traditions Kentucky Rifle in 2010

I would recommend the flinter! Traditions quality isn't that bad anymore since years ago. And if the lock has a failure then take a L&R repl. lock. "Real men shoot flinter!" Regards :hatsoff: Kirrmeister

    invest arms hawken rear sight

Hello from Germany! As far as I can say the investarm hawken rear sight is mounted in a dove tail. If not it is screwed int the barrel and the screw is reachable from under the rear sight. No need to put the out. Regards Kirrmeister

Thanks for the info! So we will look how this nice rifle will perform at the range and in the forest. A bullet smith made me a couple of HP maxis for hunting. Regards Kirrmeister
