    New to me powder horn, and other than the date, there is a NAF #51 designation. Any way to tell if authentic to the date or a later make?

    Thanks Dave for the reply. I actually meant the symbols on the left, but I did not know how to edit my original post. Every reference I looked at the date is on the left and in a box. Those symbols do not look like Xs and the similar-U next to them just doesn’t make since.
