    Butt Plate fitment on SMR

Okay, here is what I would suggest. It appears a little wood needs to be removed from the front of the inlet. That is, the area nearest the barrel. This will help close up the gap. This is typically required on most of the inlets for these rifles. We straighten these buttplate castings...

    Kibler side effect?

Thanks everybody. I really do like you all. What hand you use makes no difference. Like others have mentioned, we're just trying to do the best we can with the resources we have. I'm sure you understand. The support we receive is amazing and thank you all so much. Jim

We do not make custom rifles. We do not advertise to do so. We make kits that are not customizable.

We don't make custom rifles. We make non-customizable kits.

    Kibler side effect?

I disagree with your assumptions. We would sell probably 3-5 times more Hawkens than a left handed rifle. This isn't just based on armchair guesses, but rather what we seen from being in business for 8 years and selling MANY thousands of kits. We have had an absolute outpouring of requests...

    Kibler side effect?

Poor business practice? Huh? I'm not exactly sure what you are saying in your response, but let me be clear, I don't owe left-handers anything. I sure hope you aren't suggesting that I do. Without apology, I make decisions based on what benefits the company the most. I have no moral...

Thanks. I'm not sure of our employee count but it's around 15 or 16 not including Katherine and myself, so it's progressed from being what most think of as a mom and pop business. As time progresses my goal is for the business to require Katherine and myself less and less. We still have gaps...

The Hawken style rifle will be a half stock percussion. Thanks!

    Kibler side effect?

Ha! I've heard this many times. Unfortunately, there is more involved. We will offer a left-handed rifle someday, but it will probably be at least 5 years from now. As with any business we choose to work on the highest demand projects first as this generates more cashflow and allows for more...

    Kibler side effect?

Thank you. Any successfull business really is a two-way street. Over the years, we have been blown away by the support and business we have received. We have lots of plans to grow, increase offerings and quality. It's always a push and a battle, but that's what we do. Only time will tell...

    Kibler side effect?

Yes, we just got a very expensive CNC machine set-up and running. Although very costly, it will pay for itself and makes complete business sense. This is a passion, but at the same time it is very much a business. You're right, expensive machines require lots of sales, which we are thankful...

    I did a bad thing.

As a comparison, we assume 100% responsibility for damages or losses from shipping. We replace things immediately and make it right for the customer.

Our selection is smaller, but our quality is superior to most all “custom” rifles. Definitely no comparison to products from TVM etc. just the truth…

    Underlug hole elongation...

Absolutely not. I go through thousands of stocks each year and can assure you movement can be significant. I would suggest at least one pin diameter fore and aft of the pin. Listen to professionals and highly respected top builders. Why I keep preaching I sometimes wonder…

Rehardening frizzens - one size fits all? Musings for metallurgy masterminds....

1350 F is too low of a temperature to quench from. Little to no hardening will occur.
