    How old are ya?

Older than the trees, younger than the mountains. Shooting holy black for 2 years.

What historical rifle would you most like to shoot?

I would like to shoot an original Jacob Dickert rifle. It would be thrilling to hold a tangible piece of history from the Revolution.

    Naming your guns?

I have named only a few with sentimental attachment. The maple stock longrifle is named “Sugar” and the new rifle is “Cherry” for obvious reason.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

How a cannon barrel is made.

That is very cool, but I do not think I could afford to feed it. What was the charge in the photo above?
  16. BillKilgore

Powder charge. How much powder do you use.

Let's see. 50 cal and 42" barrel, so.... ((.25 x .25) x 3.1416) x 41.5 subtracting 1/2" for the ball and patch. Just over 8 cubic inches of powder is my max load. Just kidding above. I have a 50 cal early Lancaster rifle with a 42" barrel. I shot 3 round groups using Schuetzen FFFg powder...
