    Reconsider using that stuff, it reacts badly to black powder residue! It will NOT protect anything. Get some beeswax, or coconut fat and gently melt it. Once melted add some olive and allow to cool. Adjust the mix to your satisfactory consistency. That WILL protect the gun. The barrels are...

    Johnny, if them over powder cards are tight you might break your rammer. Just stamp thin cards. Cut the fibre wads in half. Make them go twice as far!

    60 to 70 gn of 3f or 4f. 80 to 90 gn volume measure of shot. Thin overshot cards X3 for a wad. One on the shot. Cut cards from a 19mm leather punch.

    Not really. I've never had to clean them out because I use hot water. Hot water dries itself. I've never had a fail to fire either. I'd love to go back in time and intercept an explorer in winter and suggest cleaning their gun with cold water, if they can find some, I can see them rolling...
