    Fire Retardant Paper Cartridges

How about trying it yourself? Do a test piece then use a match at home to see if it’s worth testing in a firearm.

    Musket Nipple Replacement Question

I would expect it to work well. The large musket caps are easy to handle and can be placed on the nipple correctly with out looking. This, I believe is why the military used them.

Woodsrunner Builders - Tools and Supplies?

Draw filing with a clean sharp file that you knock and brush the filings out of often will get to about 320 grit with sharp corners pretty quick. This barrel shows the extra writing removed by draw fileing before sanding. IMG_0525 by Oliver Sudden, on Flickr

Skill - barrel making - where to learn

Look up “ colonial Williamsburg, gun smith” video. It will give you a good idea of the process. They do it without power machines but the process is what it takes. Or visit Kibler’s web site and he shows how he rifles a barrel with state of the art machines.

Not enough actuation in T/C Hawken hammer?

Short answer, the hammer throw is not adjustable. Changing locks or parts isn’t adjusting but may get what you want.

    Would you trust these threads?

No, don’t use that nipple and the breech threads are not to be trusted! You need a machinist or gunsmith to do the job or risk losing another hat or far worse.

Investarms Plains Pistol Half-**** Not Secure

That fly should move freely when the sear is in the full **** notch, if not it is being held up by something. Clean, oil and / or deburr, it won’t take much.

This lock has a fly as well, easy to see in the second photo.

Investarms Plains Pistol Half-**** Not Secure

This one has a fly and that second click is the sear going past the fly. Normal operating and correct operation.

    Opinion on maple stock

Typical effect of AF showing off the figure. That 3D effect is seldom achieved by common stain, the darkness is controlled by how and how much you apply it. Nice wood.

Is this with your finger on the trigger or completely off the trigger? If the trigger is pulled this is exactly how it should work.

If you can’t load more then two your doing something wrong. What’s all the details of your load? I shoot an entire match without swabbing so it can be done.
