What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

    Pondering a flintlock. Educate me.

at one time or another we have all been in your situation. I for what its worth would go for the SMR in .45. i have built a few plank builds and have had everything from .30 to .60 I enjoy everyone of them, but the one that gets the most use is the SMR .45. I am older that dirt and my .45 is so...

I like Kibler's products and when one came available at a reduced price i bought it from a member here. it took my about a week to finish it. the work involved was a great...

September 2 Is World Coconut Day!

my only Kibler has been whining lately that i ignore it. don't ignore it so much as its too pretty for an ugly old ***** like me to play with. today i broke down and took the time from polishing the latest build to shoot it. think it has stepped up to # 2 favorite in my harem. my only wish is...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Thanks Pete. I came into the house and sat and stewed for an hour. finally got my temper under control and went back to the ram rod project. 45 minutes later i was putting the finish on it. turned out great. anger is a good motivator, but calm gets things done.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

sweet! today was one of those days. actually started yesterday. I was assigned the task of picking green beans by the overseer. We have had extraordinary numbers of yellow jackets this year. I thought I had a truce with them but one had a mad on about something and stung me on the wrist. spent...

    Scrimshaw moose antler

that is outstanding work! I have had a lifetime of envy of artists. Mother was an artist. the talent skipped me. If you aren't too attached to the drawing I would buy that in a second. I am also one that can't draw even a period.

    Kids under 12 hunting.

the idea that children should not be exposed and trained to firearms is a Tenet of the liberal left. If they cannot be taught and trained to safely handle firearms, they could not and should not be taught to dress themselves, not touch a hot stove, or stick a fork into an outlet. as for the...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

putzed with the carving on the walnut rifle. had to pick green beans in the am so didn't get to the rifle until afternoon. Having a MS attack which affects my eyes so put down the tools after half an hour. seemed like the prudent path. better this,🤣 than this😭.
