    Navy arms 12 ga sxs

I have sxs made by Piette. Sold by Navy Arms, I am pretty sure it is a smooth bore. Any information you have would be appreciated. I found it in a “normal” gun store on consignment for $350, offered $300 and owner accepted. pattern is fine out to about 25 yards, beyond that it spreads to the...

    What was your first Muzzleloader?

My first was a .45 Investarms Hawken, the one with the fancy brass patch box. Was in 1983 or 4 , we were living in Iowa and deer hunting was by shotgun slug only, unless you had a ml they had a separate season for them. We had traveled out to Glacier and on our way home we stopped in Nebraska...

    Palmetto Revolver

I have a Palmetto Remington also, it has the steel frame. Not sure of its age, but am thinking early 80’s. It does fine with 30 g fffg.

    Traditions Kentucky nearly done

I built the same rifle a few years ago. Browned the barrrel and faux tiger stripped the stock. I like the brown on the Kentucky. I don’t remember the solution I used got it from TOTW. Was real easy to use.

    SOLD Percussion .45 Hawken, Investarm?

It is identical to my investarms .45, it has a stylized I on top of the barrel. If I wasn’t wanting a kit , I would talk to she who must be obeyed 😁

    Traditions products

I built both the Kentucky pistol and rifle, both percussion. They both do the job. Have killed several deer with the rifle, looked the fact it is a 1:66 twist loves prb and 70 grains 3f Goex. I did trade the pistol for an 1858 Remington pistol. Paid 95$ for the Kentucky pistol, got $150 for...

    Synthetic powders

Thanks, for the info, I am still ok on Goex, 1pound plus a horn full of 3f, and 2+ pound of 2f. I should have indicated strictly percussion and a revolver. Will look for some T7, just for backup.

    Who made this?

Got this in a trade at my LGS, they said it was a Richland arms. Not sure I agree, thought I would ask the experts.

    Synthetic powders

With the shortage of real black powder, I am curious which of the synthetic powders you all consider as the better short term alternative. I have used Pyrodex P and R, not crazy about it. Only have about a pound and half of 3 and 2 f flex!

    Investarms Hawken Thoughts?

I have the 120a with the fancy patch box in .45, loves PRB. Great rifle only issue is .45 crud’s up faster than a .50😞have had it for forty years. Dropped many a deer.
