Is Getz Barrel Co. Still In Business?

Colerain makes some very nice barrels, and they are local to me. They have had a bit of a slow down in their production. One of them has hurt his back and they currently are only producing straight octagon barrels. I’m patiently waiting for them to start producing Fowler barrels

    Am I color blind?

Yeah I didn’t realize that I had color issues until I joined the army. I have a super hard time seeing blood, where I can’t see it, it looks like a neon sign to my dad. I try very hard to be as proficient with my shots as possible and shoot a lot to help overcome my color issues

Any chance we'll see powder from Goex in 2023 ?

Black powder is also used in fireworks and in blasting some rock in quarries. When I bought a case of Swiss last year from a distributor he was telling me that he also sells to fireworks manufacturers and to VA Tech. They use it to blast rock to build some of their buildings

    Spending More Shooting .54

I shoot a 54 cal with a 42in colerain bbl. I shoot a lot too. When hunting, shooting woodswalks, punching paper or metal, I use 80gr of 1 1/2f Swiss, and my own cast .530 rb’s. If I have to use goex ff I have to bump to 90gr. I don’t like to drop loads for targets, use the same thing all the...

Questions for the guys that can "shoot all day" without swabbing

I’m using a 54 cal colerain bbl with round bottom rifling. Using a .530 poured ball and pillow ticking, pushed with 80gr of Swiss 1 1/2F. When hunting I use bear grease. When shooting a woods walk or on a line I just use a spit patch. While on the line shooting paper I will swab every few...
