    filler or no filler

I was told that filler would put the ball nearer to the rifling so that it would not travel as far before engaging the rifling. Thoughts were better accuracy with light loads. After reading the above comments I am not so sure if it means that much.

Military Heritage India-made Fusil de Chasse

For sure not teak. Teak would be a poor choice for that even if they were stocked in it.

    Pedersoli kit build, then rebuild

Again, beautiful work. May I ask where you sourced the trigger guard?

Kentucky from a piece of this and a part of that.

You may be right about that. That lock was very difficult to adapt to this setup. This lock does have a bridle and a fly which is unusual for a CVA. I have a new traditions flintlock lock and it does not have either a bridle or fly. Worse comes to worse I will have a spare parts inventory for...

Kentucky from a piece of this and a part of that.

Inexpensive parts build. Pedersoli stock, Bondini NOS barrel, CVA lock, Ted Cash thimbles, nose cap and rear sight, Log cabin shop trigger guard. Not the look I was going for but its ok. Really wanted an old look, not new. Note how the trigger guard is more like a bronze and it is harder than...

A Question About Selling a Handgun

I don't think they have any investigators out there trying to nail sellers of pre 1898 arms sent to states where it is unlawful for a resident to receive them.

    flintlock ID

It sparks good with cut agate. I had trouble with those before. I imagine real flint would be a shower of sparks. Thank you for that info, I knew it was not Spanish and was thinking maybe India.

    flintlock ID

With CVA cut agate. I have no real flints.

    flintlock ID

Sparks with CVA cut agate I don't have any real flint. That chip looking thing is a piece the spring is formed around and fits a small slot on the back of the plate.

    flintlock ID

I have this lock and plan on using it on a pistol build. I dont know much about the various makes of flintlocks other than those that come on boughten or i should say factory made guns. Seems to be well made. No makers name or numbers. looks like there may have been something but it is...
