What is your method to combat offhand wobble?

IF I start to develop a wobble I go back to my tournament archery days. Stare intently where I want the arrow(bullet in this case). to go. Just stare at the bullseye ... the front sight will automatically go to where the eye is looking. When it gets there I pull the trigger. Works great for...

    .54 charge workup

If coning a barrel has affected the accuracy,,, it was not done properly. Coning, done right never adversely affects accuracy.

When it comes to pillow ticking and mattress ticking, I found them to be completely opposite of each other in thickness,,,,,depending on which "bolt" it came from. One time the pillow ticking is thicker than the mattress ticking and when the material comes from a different bolt, the mattress...

Don't recollect anyone here trying to ask Capand Ball directly and asking him about the wedge tapping. Seems that might clear up a lot of conjecture . Go to the source I always say.

Duelist1954 Lecture on 18th Century Smoothbore Shooting

Totally agree. Mike was the black powder shooting editor of Guns of the old West magazine. Did a great job. He is doing a great job at what he does now. If someone doesn't like what he does, it would probably behove them to just keep their mouths shut.... especially if they want to just belittle...

    So..... why a muzzleloading?

Growing up in the 50s and 60s I was in awe of the television show "The Rebel" The main character packed a cap and ball pistol from the civil war era. I thought that was the coolest pistol ever! After about a year of watching the show, one of my aunts bought me a toy pistol exactly like the one...

    Patch lube, spit or lube?

FYI... Don't let the patch material drag on the ground before you put it in your mouth. The patch material that I use is pristine... straight from the store and stored clean and kept clean till I am to use it.
