    Lot of handguns

If I have read the ads correctly from a couple of the individuals that have been selling here is that their father had died and they have no interest in them and are selling off dad's years of collecting. Very sad. Falls into the category of several other postings here about the sport dying off.

    I need a cartridge box

Just a simple question, are you using this for reenacting? If so, wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just reduce the size of the dowel rod that you form your cartridges around? If you are making actual cartridges with projectiles perhaps you could taper the dowel and therefore the cartridge...

What became of the millions of civil war rifle-muskets?

I can remember reading in the late 1970's or early 1980's about the US government awarding a contract for one or two million dollars to DESTROY thousands (40 or 50) of trap door Springfields. The contractor had to render them unusable. Way back then I had a hard time wrapping my head around...

    Now this tops the cake...........

Been married for over 40 years. At times I made more money, at times she made more money. We have always pooled enough of our individual income to pay the bills. She likes to pay the bills so that she knows they are paid. I have no problem with that as I can look over the monthly budget...

    Hello From Upstate New York

That is a definite! Too many downstaters have moved upstate bringing their view points and attitude with them. My neighbor grew up on Long Island and worked construction all over NYC area and the Island. His family has had the land across the street from me for longer than I have lived here...

    Pawn Shop Blasphemy

I'd buy it. Last $100 gun that I was able to find was 5 years ago. A CVA mountain rifle. Gentleman also had a Navy Arms Buffalo hunter for $125 but I didn't have the extra cash on hand at the time. Regret that now.

    Aquisition of black powder

I am not sure that it is the Federal storage requirements. My belief is that it falls more to state and local storage requirements that cause dealers to not want to worry about it. State inspectors come around more frequently than the feds.

alert! #10 caps, free hazmat at natchez

A number of years ago NY state attempted to get individuals to voluntarily report their internet purchases that they did not pay sales tax on so that tax could be collected when you filed your state income taxes. That didn't pan out to well. I believe that a group of states banded together and...

My priming horn disappeared in shipment

A few months back I ordered something through Amazon market place as the price was better than the same item fulfilled by them. Got a shipping notification from seller that it would be delivered by DHL. A few days later it was marked as delivered but I had nothing. After several attempts, DHL...

    where to buy black powder

I have bought from Graf's, but only face to face, they are less than an hour from my son's house in MO. Good people. They have lots of firearms and reloading supplies. Ask your friends if they need anything for reloading etc. to share the shipping and hazmat expenses. Woody

My 12 yr old granddaughters first time shooting at our club shoot.

You are very fortunate. My grandsons are 1100 miles away in central MO. and they rarely travel back this way (can't blame their parents as I wouldn't come to NY except that I live here lol). My car is packed pretty tight when we travel to MO between myself, my wife, my older son and my dog...
