Whats your favorite muzzleloader you own?

This is like picking a favorite child, somebody’s feelings are going to get hurt. For me though it might be my latest, a Joe Schell half stock in .36. Sorry kids! Jeff

    Helicoil repair

Thanks all, I acquired this rifle with the drum slightly loose. I’ll measure diameter and TPI and install next size drum if possible. If already oversized I’ll look into a weld repair. Should be ready for squirrel season soon. This rifle is a valued part of my meager collection, I will do the...

    Helicoil repair

Hello all, my 25 caliber 3/4” percussion barrel has worn drum threads. Is it acceptable to drill and helicoil before fitting a new drum? It appears that the helicoil O.D. will be wider than the barrel flat.

These are not great pics but here are my Kibler SMR, horn and bag. I am pleased with the way the rifle turned out and how fast and reliable the lock is. Many thanks to Jim Kibler and his family for all the help during the assembly, they truly make an awesome kit. Cory Joe Stewart engraved the...

    You Never Forget Your First

My first muzzleloader was a .50 TC Renegade bought around 1980. A real cheek slapper but a well made rifle. A good friend from PA that hunted with a TC Flintlock taught me to load and shoot it. He was an excellent shot, and good instructor. I have added many other firearms to the collection...

    Sunrise from the tree stand

Recent sunrise from the tree stand. Unfortunately the new Kibler SMR was not yet sighted in and ready for the hunt. It will though be my main rifle for spring turkey season.
